A tall perennial plant with stalks that resemble celery. Also known as false celery. It has a strong flavor of celery with a sweet hint of anise. Use in any dish that calls for celery or parsley. Lovage is also excellent as a substitute for salt.
Add to Vegetable Broths, Bean Stews, and Lentil Stews.
