Also known as Chinese parsley. Tastes of citrus and black pepper.I think this is the most popular fresh herb in the whole wide world, however, quite a few people experience a soapy or metallic taste. In cooking classes I kept the cilantro on the side and let students add to their dishes. The leaves are the most used part but the stems and roots are used in Thai Curry Pastes and Indian Cilantro Chutney. Add the stems and leaves to Dips, Savory Spreads, Salsas, Indian Curries, Mexican Chili, Bean Stews.
