Dried Lavender

Lavendula angustifolia
Dried Lavender

A sweet fragrance with lemon or citrus notes which increases with drying. The flavor pairs well with herbs like oregano, rosemary, thyme, sage, and savory. Use sparingly to avoid a bitter, soapy after-taste. Use only organically grown lavender, not lavender grown for potpourri.

Use in Lavender Honey, and Herbal Teas. Dried lavender is an ingredient in the Moroccan spice blend Ras el Hanout and the French herb blend Herbes de Provence.

Cuisines: France, Morocco
